More Than a Bottling Company
In 2022, John Thompson and Stuart McMillan's paths crossed for the first time. John, a lifelong whisky enthusiast with a successful business background, was looking to turn his passion for Scotch whisky into something more. Stuart had spent years distilling, maturing and bottling whisky, building extensive industry experience. It soon became clear they shared the same vision.
Over many conversations—and more than a few drams—they decided, with the help of other experienced industry veterans, to create a specialist bottling company dedicated to private cask owners, founded on three simple principles: quality, transparency and agility. Their ambition was to provide a level of personal service and flexibility that was often missing from the industry.
They found the ideal home on Auld Bond Road in Perth, just a few hundred yards from the historic past site of Dewar's Distillery. It felt fitting to bring whisky back to the heart of Scotland, and Auld Bond Bottlers was born.
Since then, Auld Bond Bottlers has grown into a trusted partner for independent bottlers, distilleries, whisky brokers and private clients around the world. Our services now include tanker disgorging, bonded warehousing, cask management, spirit reduction, bespoke cask finishing and bottling everything from exclusive single casks to large commercial production runs.
Although the business has evolved, our philosophy remains exactly the same: exceptional quality, complete transparency, outstanding customer service and treating every cask as if it were our own.

Stuart McMillan
The Founder and Fixer
With well over a decade in the spirits industry, it was a natural progression for Stuart to move from distillation and spirit creation into whisky maturation, cask management and bottling. As the driving force behind Auld Bond Bottlers, Stuart is often the first voice clients hear and the person who oversees projects from concept to completion.
Whether it's blending, bottling, cask management, customer support or solving the unexpected challenges that inevitably arise, Stuart is happiest when finding solutions and making things happen.

Kasia Wojick
The Bottler
With over 20 years of bottling experience, Kasia is the guardian of quality within Auld Bond Bottlers. Committed to excellence and meticulous quality control, she oversees our production operations and ensures every bottling run meets the highest standards.
Having trained much of the team herself, Kasia is usually found fine-tuning a bottling machine, adjusting a labeller or perfecting a production process. She still gets excited seeing new whiskies arrive and takes great pride in watching finished products leave the warehouse ready for customers around the world.

Jamie McDonald
The Custodian
Jamie has been an integral part of Auld Bond Bottlers for the past two years and serves as our Warehouse Supervisor. Every cask arriving at ABB passes through Jamie's hands for inspection, coding, regauging and storage.
Whether he's moving casks, operating the forklift, organising warehouse logistics or travelling across Scotland to collect rare and valuable casks for clients, Jamie ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. He also doubles as our resident DJ, making sure the warehouse soundtrack is every bit as well curated as the whisky.

Elaine Melville
The Administrator
Elaine wears many hats at Auld Bond Bottlers, with operational administration sitting at the heart of her role. From HMRC compliance, duty management and logistics coordination to customer support and social media, she helps keep the business running efficiently every day.
No two days are ever the same for Elaine, and she is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. Bringing plenty of Irish wit, energy and enthusiasm to the team, she's our ultimate all-rounder and a key part of what makes ABB tick.

We are proud to support the The Maclean Foundation as our chosen charity partner.
The Foundation has carried out remarkable work in Madagascar, helping to provide access to clean water and improve lives within local communities. The Maclean Brothers have also undertaken a series of extraordinary challenges and adventures to raise awareness and vital funds in support of the charity's mission.
Auld Bond Bottlers is honoured to provide all bottling and warehousing services for the Foundation's whisky projects. Through our continued support, we aim to help maximise the revenue generated from bottle sales, ensuring that as much funding as possible reaches the Foundation and contributes directly to its life-changing work.
Together, we hope to play a small part in helping the Foundation expand its impact and bring clean water to even more communities in need.
